JESUS...DO YOU KNOW HIM?

The bad news is that we are all sinners.

We have sinned against God.  The Bible says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23

Some more bad news...

As a result of our sin, we pay the ultimate price.  We die - both a spiritual and physical death.  The Bible tells us, "For the wages of sin is death..."  Romans 6:23

BUT, now for the GOOD NEWS!

 The Bible then says, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

To be forgiven, you must confess your sins and repent (turn from them).  The Bible says,  "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 

Have peace with God.  Romans 5:1 says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God.

Dear God, I am a sinner.  I know that one day I will die as a payment for my sins.  I believe Jesus is your son and that He died in my place on the cross.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Help me to begin to live for Jesus.  I ask Jesus to come and live in me.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
